MANDY'S TAKE
“This bar carries a 4-star Health Star Rating, which gives the impression it’s a smart, wholesome snack, especially for kids. But a closer look tells a different story. The “strawberry yoghurt” branding is misleading: the yoghurt coating is a processed mix of sugar, hydrogenated palm oil, whey powder, and emulsifiers, and the actual strawberry content is a mere 0.8%, made up of concentrated apple and strawberry purées plus added sugars, flavourings, and humectants. With at least five types of added sugars making up the 1.5 tsp of sugar per bar, it’s a clear case of sugar stacking, masked by a front-of-pack wholegrain claim and an inflated health rating. It may contain fibre and whole grains, but that doesn’t make up for the heavy processing and artificial formulation. This is a bar built on clever formulation — not real food, and it’s certainly not lunchbox-friendly in my view.”

Strawberry Muesli Bars
Introducing my delightful and nutritious Strawberry Muesli Bars! Packed with wholesome ingredients like oats, chia seeds, sunflower seeds, and sweetened naturally with honey, these
THE VERDICT
Despite its 4-star Health Star Rating and wholegrain claim, this bar is far from a wholesome snack. With five forms of added sugar, just 0.8% real strawberry, and a yoghurt coating made from hydrogenated palm oil and emulsifiers, it’s a highly processed product disguised as healthy. Although it is budget-frienldy, it’s best avoided for kids’ lunchboxes — there are far better real food options to choose from.
