MANDY'S TAKE
“This bar earns a 4-star Health Star Rating, which is frankly disappointing given what it’s made from. While the branding is relatively honest; it doesn’t pretend to be a high-protein health food or a fruit-filled snack — the formulation is built on glucose, invert syrup, palm oil, and compound chocolate, with multiple added sugars and ultra-processed additives.
Yes, it contains oats and a decent amount of fibre, but that doesn’t make it real food. The rating system once again rewards fibre and wholegrains while ignoring the ultra-processed nature of the ingredients. This bar might look better than others on the shelf, but it’s still more confectionery than nourishment — best kept as an occasional treat, not an everyday snack.”

THE VERDICT
This bar’s 4-star Health Star Rating is misleading, given its foundation of glucose, invert syrup, sugar, palm oil, and compound chocolate. While it contains oats it’s still a highly processed snack built on sweeteners and refined oils and ingredients. I would not recommend it as a nutritous bar for kids, it’sl closer to a confectionery item than a nourishing snack — and that’s how it should be treated.
