MANDY'S TAKE
“This bar is a great example of a homemade-style slice done right — made entirely from wholefood ingredients like organic oats, wholemeal flour, butter, honey, coconut, dried fruit, and almonds, with no additives, emulsifiers, or synthetic sweeteners in sight. It’s a rare find in the commercial snack space and a real win for ingredient integrity. That said, it’s rich and energy-dense, with nearly 17g of sugar and 12g of saturated fat per 100g, making it better suited as a meal replacement bar than a light snack. It’s excellent for athletes or hungry teens who need a satisfying, real food option on the go, but not recommended for adults watching their energy intake.
For kids, I’d suggest serving half a bar — not only is it more appropriate for their needs, it also makes it a more economical choice. This is one of the best packaged options available just be mindful of the portion size. “

THE VERDICT
This bar sets a high standard for real food snacks. It’s made entirely from recognisable ingredients you’d find in a home kitchen, with no ultra-processing, no additives, and no sweetener tricks. Yes, it’s sweet and rich — but at least the sweetness comes from honey and dried fruit, not syrups or polyols. It’s a real food snack bar that aligns with a real food philosophy, especially for families who want an indulgent wholefood convenience snack. Just remember it’s one of the biggest serving sizes, so I’d recommend half a bar at a time for most kids and adults.
